Republicans are in big trouble

Dearborn GOP debate wrap-up...

Big GOP star Fred Thompson, uh, made his debate debut and, uh, in line with the rest of his, uh, campaign, he, uh, failed to impress. Iran, uh, economy, uh... Somebody turn the cue card right side up please. I think Fred Burgundy is having a hard time reading from it.

Mike Huckabee, aka Sicko the Clown, should stop trying to be funny guy and exit the race promptly. He adds nothing of substance to the mix.

Tom Tancredo is kind of crazy but at least he can accurately call himself a Republican, unlike the majority of his opponents. His hair is way more intriguing than anything most other candidates talk about.

Duncan Hunter is better presidential material than Sam Brownback. That isn't saying much.

Ron Paul is an old-school Republican and that's his problem. Public schools tend to ignore the Constitution and teach kids that the Founders were racist women-haters. Ron is neither of those but it's all about perspective.

Rudy Giuliani, sorry buddy, until I can see you speak coherently for five minutes without saying 9/11 you don't even enter consideration.

Mitt is definitely THE alpha male of the group. He has a commanding presence. He is very successful and his appearance makes the other candidates look like wimps. If I were picking teammates for a brawl, basketball game or business venture, I'd pick Mitt over the rest of the field. His politics? Scary. Alpha males also tend to hate competition. It's what drives them. They have to win, sometimes at any cost. I don't want that to be the driving force behind my president.

Oops, I published the post after Mitt and then realized that I forgot about John McCain. Exactly.
